About the Man

William L. Foster Jr.

Biography

God’s sovereign plan rescued this genius from a cycle of imprisonment in the penitentiary system.  A troubled youth from the age of eight, by the time William L. Foster Jr. was 18 years old; he experienced numberous arrest and multiple prison terms. Foster was compelled to keep in touch with every facet of street life.

In 1996, William was arrested for a drug conspiracy charge that landed him in a federal correctional institution with a 14 year prison term.  One year after sentencing, he gave his life to Christ and married Tracey, the mother of his two doting daughters, Rhian and Rhandi.  Together, they started a journey and ministry that would bless the lives of many around them through Christ’s faithfulness and their testimony.

The supernatural favor, mercy, and grace of God exceeded Foster’s past of deception, disillusionment and manipulation.  God miraculously changed his callous heart.  He was no longer a prisoner of the state; he was freed by his confession of the Lord Jesus Christ.  William had been hidden in order to be a future ray of hope for at-risk boys.  Foster found favor with the warden and his immediate supervisors.  While yet in prison, William taught a Bible study, trained, and mentored men to believe and serve Jesus Christ.  He continues to be a fisher of men.

On May 7, 2009 Foster was released from prison after serving 12 years.  He joined his family and the members of Christian Fellowship Center (CFC) under the leadership of Bishop Shirley McKinney.  He serves faithfully as a door keeper and on the prison ministry team at CFC.  Honoring his vow to God to sit under this ministry for a year, William reconnected to the Lord’s vision to birth the genesis of King's Sons 820 Inc. William started ministering under his mentors Pastors Larry and Sue Jarvis, chaplains and spiritual overseers at the Medina County Jail and Juvenile Center.   Shortly thereafter, 60 boys registered in the greater Cleveland area for membership of KS820 non-profit organization.

Exactly one year later in 2010, Foster was guided by the Holy Spirit to facilitate a ministry “From the Game to the Kingdom” to connect to loss souls for youth and adults on Monday nights. King's Sons 820 Inc., a mentoring program for males ages 8-20, meet weekly on Saturdays.   Foster is also dedicated to assisting local churches, juvenile centers, schools, and community centers. LUKE 22:31-32 "Simon, stay on your toes. Satan has tried his best to separate all of you from me, like chaff from wheat. Simon, I've prayed for you in particular that you not give in or give out. When you have come through the time of testing, turn to your companions and give them a fresh start." MSG The Message

In December of 2012 William Foster published his very first book FROM THE GAME TO THE KINGDOM".
